COMMENTS VALID FOR ALL SECTIONS We think that the access to bodies of knowledge which deal with topics of basic research should be free and as cheap as possible. At the same time, the material published must be useful as a source of information or as a point to begin a discussion. We have adopted the values of excellence (with respect to the quality of works) and democracy (with respect to the authors' freedom of speech, opinion and publication). The art of applying these two opposite criteria to accept the works received for publication in this site corresponds to the Editorial Board. Authors around the world are invited to publish their works in The Luventicus Academy Reports, our Database, the Online Forum, The Luventicus' Artwork Gallery, and the sections Luventicus Kids, Luventicus Teens, Luventicus Cosmos, and Luventicus Ecology. The process of publication is easy and fast. Authors need only to suggest an adviser and obtain the Editor's approval. REPORTS The process of publication in Reports comprises four steps: submission, advice, acceptance and formatting. The complete series of actions is more rapid than the traditional peer review process, and is in better agreement with our opinion on what should be the communication of knowledge. The advice of an article will be carried out by an adviser proposed by the author (a resercher, professor or colleague), a member of the Reports Advisory Board, or a person designated by the Editor. The adviser is a person having the power to recommend. This power comes from his position in an academic institution, his previous publication of works in the field, or the general reconnaissance of his contributions in the area of interest. The adviser give his positive opinion about: the coincidence of the work scope with that of Reports, the scientific nature of the employed methods, the clarity of explanations (for people working in the corresponding area), and the use of an appropriate tone for Reports; but he is not a referee, i.e. a person who judges the importance or the conclusions of the work. All readers can express their opinions on the works published in Reports (in the Comments section) or in the Online Forum. This comments and opinions will be available together with the work in our site. Thus, the evaluation or recognition of a work is not a job for few persons: is a work for Reports readers. FORUM We accept and communicate opinions and (re)interpretations of any topic published in this site or elsewhere, if they are given in a polite, constructive manner. The following formats are acceptable for data in the "From" field.
