Tourism in Central America and the Caribbean
Central America and the islands of the Caribbean Sea are, for the international,
synonymous tourist of sun, lukewarm and crystalline beach, and waters. Between
the more important tourist destinies of this region they are: the gorgeous Coast
Emerald, in the department of Izabal (Guatemala); the National Park of
Tortuguero, " the Amazon of Costa Rica " , a rainy forest crossed by rivers and
channels with a great biodiversity, in which the egg-laying of the green turtles
takes place (between July and October); the National Park of Manuel Antonio
(Costa Rica), near Quepos Port, on the Pacific, in which the mountain and the
forest arrive until the sea and where the tourist can observe - with only
journeying his footpaths monkeys, sluggish, turtles, coatíes and crabs; the
Great Island, in the Panamanian Caribbean, with its white sand beaches and their
ebullient vegetation; the Taboga island or " Island of the Flores" , in the gulf
of Panama, with lukewarm waters that are special for the practice from the
diving and the nautical sports; the archipelago Mouths of Toro, to the northwest
of Panama; the varied beaches of the Bahamas, like those of Nassau, the Somerset
Beach in the island of Andros, the beaches of the islands Grand Bahama and Cat

Dock (Cuban city with one varied hotel supply) and of the Cuban province of the

practice of the senderismo and the diving (in Soufrière Bay is an overwhelming
submerged crater); the beaches of White End (Dominican Republic), with white
sand, crystalline giants palms and waters; the beaches of the province of Port
Silver (name given to these coasts by the own Cristóbal Columbus, dazzled by the
beauty of its sea), in the Atlantic coast of the Dominican Republic; the diverse
beaches of Puerto Rico, like Green Island, Seven You are, Shacks, Luquillo and
Boquerón; and the cities of Managua, San jOse of Costa Rica, City of Panama,
Havana and Santo Domingo. The Caribbean Sea is sailed continuously by imposing
cruises, that by their luxury and comfort constitute means privileged for the
