Tourism in Ireland
The Island of Ireland (Éire, in Irish) is one of the great islands of Europe. Politically it is divided in two states, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland (part of the United Kingdom); nevertheless, in a few things the island operates like a unit: religious denominations; economic questions, although they have different currencies; sport organizations, like those of hurling, gaélico soccer, rugby, golf, cricket and hockey, although not soccer; newspapers and magazines, that are distributed in all the Island; and political parties, that operate in the two regions. The Island of Ireland is surrounded by hundreds of islands small and small barren islands and between their many tourist attractions account with an archaeological deposit declared Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO, the Palace of the Boyne (Brú na Bóinne). This complex, that is in the county of Meath (Republic of Ireland), one necrópolis thousand years previous to Stonehenge, constructed to bury to the most excellent members of the tribal society that dominated the region. The place includes three archaeological deposits: Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth.
