Turismo en World
This series includes maps showing the locations of the Wonders of the Ancient
World, Wonders of the Modern World and the sites listed as World Heritage by the
UNESCO. These are sites of cultural or natural interest. In antiquity, the
Wonders of the World were seven. Today, at the initiative of the Swiss filmmaker
Bernard Weber, the New Open World Corporation organized a contest from which a
list with a mix of obvious names and others that led to discussion was made.
UNESCO's work, with commissions that apply a working method and predetermined
criteria is undoubtedly the most serious one. We launched this series with a few
maps (about 50) and expect to complete soon the list of UNESCO (890 sites and
growing).
